- Or you will be forcibly removed.
While most of us were chomping at the bit to get out of our parents house, there are others who want to stay with their family for forever. They truly never want to move out. This is one of those stories.
It all started last month when it was ruled that Michael Rotondo leave his parents house. He was being kicked out and because other attempts didn’t work, his parents resorted to using the law.
Rotondo refused to leave, so his parents sued him and they went to court over it May 22, last week Tuesday. Rotondo is 30 years old and has lived with parents for the better part of those three decades.
But his parents are done with the co-living situation and they want him out. They offered to help give him money to get him started and gave him tips on things of his he could sell to make more money, too. From all accounts, he has been given the skills he needs to be an adult.
But Rotondo doesn’t want any part of it. And after being sued by his parents, the judge gave his ruling for him to vacate. He called it “outrageous.” He said he would appeal the decision.
Now, a date has been set and on June 1st, 2018, Rotondo has to leave his parent’s New York home or he will be forcibly removed.
Rotondo said that he found out about the date from a Syracuse.com reporter. He claimed he was otherwise not informed of the date to vacate.
Rotondo had said that the date, now less than a week away, was “not really a lot of time.”
“I really don’t understand how that’s necessary,” he commented.
This story is weird and we will have to wait and see what happens next. But this is the thing. Sometimes you have to grow up, move out, and do some adulting. Rotondo, it’s your time!
