- Global conspiracies, the Illuminati, forced genetic manipulation… Really, this story’s got it all.
There have been some strange theories coming out of Israel lately. Did you read our earlier story about an Israeli defense chief who claimed media-shy aliens are in conspiracy with Trump?
Now, another Israeli leader has decided to share some fascinating thoughts with the world. Only this time, the leader is of the religious sort and the ideas are about the COVID-19 pandemic.
Anti-vaccine views are regrettably common these days, with the most common reason seemingly being a lacking understanding of how vaccines work. But rabbi Daniel Asor – one of Israel’s ultra-orthodox Haredi Jewish leaders – has some misconceptions about the coronavirus vaccine that are wilder than usual.
Namely, Asor claims that the vaccine might turn you into a homosexual, according to Israel Hayom.
The newspaper reports that the Haredi community has a staggering number of COVID-related deaths due to them shirking social distancing measures. You’d imagine, then, that their leaders would encourage their flock to stay safe.
But not so much Asor. In his claims, he seems most worried about the COVID vaccine containing embryonic substrate.
“Any vaccine made using an embryonic substrate, and we have evidence of this, causes opposite tendencies,” Asor said in an online sermon.
And if it’s not clear, by “opposite tendencies” he means homosexuality. We’d love to see his evidence.
“Vaccines are taken from an embryonic substrate, and they did that here, too, so … it can cause opposite tendencies,” he added.
Freemasons, Illumati, et. al
Asor’s wild claims don’t stop at just saying the vaccine turns you gay, though. Oh no, according to him, there’s a whole globe-spanning conspiracy behind the vaccinations.
Because of course there is. You know how these theories go.
The rabbi claims that it wasn’t pharmaceutical companies who developed the COVID vaccine. Instead, the vaccine – and the virus it’s intended to cure – are the product of a “global malicious government.”
But who could be the members of such a sinister worldwide elite? Well, who else but the good old Freemasons, the Illuminati, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and other incarnations of pure evil.
The “global government’s” dastardly purpose for developing the coronavirus and the vaccine is nothing short of comic book villainy, based on Asor’s claims. He says that they want to “cull global population” for… Some unexplained reason, and the vaccine is their latest and greatest tool in achieving that goal.
And the Big Pharma, the World Health Organization, and other “criminal organizations” are in on the plot! Asor accuses them of lying to Israel’s ultra-orthodox leaders about the vaccine’s efficiency to get them to support their purposes.
Oh, but there’s even more. Apparently, according to Asor, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is in cahoots with Israel’s National Emergency Authority.
Together, they have established a “brutal army” stationed in Israel. These secret forces are embedded in local law enforcement agencies to advance the nefarious agenda of the “global government.”
How could we not have seen this coming?
Voices of Reason
Perhaps luckily for the Israel’s Haredi community, most other ultra-orthodox Jewish leaders are encouraging people to get the vaccine. Of course, that would require their followers to listen to what they say.
Rabbis Chaim Kanievsky, Gershon Edelstein, and Shalom Cohen – a power trio of Haredi leaders – all say that the Haredi community should go get vaccinated at their earliest convenience.
“According to all acceptable medical parameters it has been proven that the vaccines are safe,” the three said in a joint statement, according to Israel Hayom.
Helping the rabbis reach their conclusion was Avraham Elimelech Firer, chairman of the Ezra Lemarpe medical support organization. He analyzed the data and showed it to the religious leaders, who relayed their statement through him.
“After I researched and investigated with the requisite responsibility and presented my conclusions to [the three rabbis], I can state that according to their opinions and in their names anyone who is able to be vaccinated should do so,” Firer told the Jerusalem Post.
Firer also gave the usual advice consulting with a doctor before getting the vaccine if people know they have serious allergies. Then again, Asor says they’re working for the global evil government, so make of that what you will.
Not the Only One
Asor, however, is not the first world leader to make bizarre suggestions about the COVID vaccine’s side effects. Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro had some strange things to say about the vaccine back in December 2020.
Instead of the vaccine making people gay, though, Bolsonaro was more concerned that the jab might transform you into a reptile.
“In the Pfizer contract, it’s very clear: ‘We’re not responsible for any side effects.’ If you turn into a crocodile, that’s your problem,” he said, according to the Independent.
“If you become superhuman, if a woman starts to grow a beard or if a man starts to speak with an effeminate voice, they won’t have anything to do with it,” Bolsonaro added.
So yeah, no homosexuality there. You might still start developing traits usually associated with the opposite sex, at least if you believe Bolsonaro.
The Brazilian president didn’t make any references to secret global organizations, either. Wait… But doesn’t that mean he’s one of them?!
