Snoop Dogg Gives His Professional Blunt Roller a Raise Because of Inflation

  • If there’s anybody who would hire a personal blunt roller, it’d be Snoop.

Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr — better known as Snoop Dogg — likes weed. That’s no secret, and for years, the rap pioneer has enjoyed a reputation comparable to being the global spokesman for cannabis.

But there’s one issue with smoking as much wacky tobaccy as Snoop does. His preferred method of imbibing is the blunt (cannabis wrapped in a cigar skin), but how can the busy entertainer find time to roll all those blunts?

He doesn’t. Snoop Dogg employs his own personal blunt roller full-time. Because of course he does.

But due to the various things happening around the world that we all know about, life is getting a lot more expensive. Inflation is skyrocketing and the costs of food and fuel are off the charts.

That’s why Snoop gave his blunt roller a raise.

In a recent tweet, Mr. Dogg confessed that he had upped his personal weed artisan’s salary. As to the reason, he simply said: “Inflation.”

Let no one say the man isn’t a good boss.

It’s on His Resume

Snoop’s blunt roller is a recent but by no means new hire. The rapper first confessed he employs somebody to roll his blunts in 2019.

It’s no wonder he has somebody occupied in the position, though. According to his own confession, Snoop Dogg smokes 81 blunts a day, seven days a week.

There’s no way he’d have time to roll all those blunts himself. So, it makes sense he found somebody to do it for him.

“If you’re great at something I need, I’m hiring you,” Snoop Dogg explained his motivation on The Howard Stern Show in 2019.

But why did he hire this specific individual for the role? It all came down to skill.

“Timing. That motherf***er’s timing is impeccable,” Snoop said.

His fellow weed connoisseur Seth Rogen, appearing on the same show, vouched for the person’s abilities.

“He knows how to gauge the look on somebody’s face when it seems like they want a blunt, and if they do, he gives you one,” said Rogen.

“There’s been like 40 minutes where I’m like, ‘I’m just watching this guy and I’m just going to see what is going on here.’ As someone who smokes a lot of weed, it’s f***ing fascinating,” he added.

And in case you were wondering — yes, the guy is a pro. Like, a serious one.

“That’s his J-O-B, his occupation. On his resumé, it says, ‘What do you do?’ I’m a blunt roller,” explained Snoop.

You’ve got to admit, if you’re good enough at rolling blunts to put it on your resume, that’s some serious skill.

Job Benefits

Snoop hasn’t gone public about how big of a raise he’s given his blunt roller. But he did say in 2019 that he pays the guy between $40,000 and $50,000 a year.

If we break that down to a normal five-day work week, the man makes about $20 an hour. It’s not the highest-paying job out there, but it does come with perks.

Basically, any celebrity benefits that Snoop enjoys, his blunt roller does as well.

“Everything free I get, he gets too. I’m going to go get some free clothes, they’ll give him some too,” he explained.

Not only that, the guy gets to travel. After all, what would Snoop do if he didn’t have his steady supply of weed with him at all times?

If Snoop is shooting a music video, the blunt roller is there. If he’s attending a red-carpet event, the blunt roller is there. And if Snoop is performing at a concert, the blunt roller gets a front-row seat.

And he can smoke however much of Snoop’s stash as he wants, for free. As long as he always has a blunt ready for Snoop when he wants one.

Wonder if the guy also gets health insurance and a 401(k)? We couldn’t confirm that, but we want to believe that he does.
