21-year-old Ervin McKinness, an aspiring rapper from southern California, was drinking and also on his phone prior to the fatal car crash that killed him and four of his friends over Labor Day weekend of 2012 in Ontario.
Just minutes before the crash, at 1:19 am on September 2, McKinness posted a tweet saying "Drunk af going 120 drifting corners #FuckIt YOLO."
