Hmm, it’s been quite a while since we last heard from Florida Man. We’re getting a little worried. Maybe we should check on him…
Oh, he got arrested for banging a vacuum cleaner. Never mind, he’s doing just fine.
Kevin Westerhold was recently arrested, suspected of engaging in a fascinating series of public indecency. Residents of a Kissimmee neighborhood alerted the police to a man flashing passersby in the area.
By the time the cops got there, he was long gone. However, the cops learned that before the man left, he performed a sex act with a vacuum cleaner.
As you do in Florida.
The consequent investigation found that the man, whom the cops had now identified as Westerhold, had a history of exposing his nether regions to others. They also learned other curious facts — like that Westerfold was reportedly an Airbnb host.
He proved slippery, though, and the cops couldn’t find Westerhold. It took a few days until they finally arrested him near his home.
Westerfold has reportedly been released and is awaiting trial.
‘Sexual Performance’
The events started on January 22, according to a statement from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO). A person living in the Windsor Hills Resort in Kissimmee, just north of Orlando, called the sheriff, informing them of “a man exposing his sexual organs in front of a residence.”
So, there’s a guy with his wang out. That’s probably an everyday occurrence in Florida, but the cops couldn’t let it slide, so they sped to Windsor Hills.
They weren’t fast enough, though. By the time they arrived, their suspect had left the area. He hadn’t gone quietly, though.
Interviewing the residents, the cops got multiple confirmations of the unsavory behavior. They were also shown an… Interesting video one of the residents shot.
The video, according to the OCSO, depicted “a male, partially clothed, in front of a residence, engaged in a sexual performance with a vacuum cleaner.”
Unfortunately, the sheriff’s statement doesn’t include further details, even though we have so many questions.
Did the man bring the vacuum to the neighborhood? Had somebody left their vacuum outside for some reason, and he saw an opportunity?
The public needs to know!
Serial Offender
As the deputies kept questioning the locals, they began uncovering curious details about the suspected streaker. First of all, based on the descriptions, they determined the man’s likely identity was Kevin Westerhold.
They also discovered that Westerhold and his wife are Airbnb hosts. Allegedly, they rent out two properties in the Windsor Hills area.
What’s more, they learned that Westerhold reportedly had engaged in similar behavior earlier. The day before, someone had made a complaint about a man “walking in a shared hallway space, nude.”
There was video evidence of that incident, too. Someone’s doorbell camera had caught the suspect in all his glory.
Further reports, not to the cops but the HOA, had been made in December 2025. Resident testimonies and additional videos showed the man “appearing partially clothed or nude within the hallway of the residence.”
Where’s Kevin?
That was enough for the deputies, and an arrest warrant for Westerhold was issued. There was just one problem — they couldn’t find him.
For several days, Westerhold went underground. Where he was and what he was doing, we don’t know, but we hope he was clothed.
The sheriff’s office issued a request for public assistance, asking anyone with information about Westerhold’s whereabouts to call them. In the end, however, they didn’t have to look far.
On January 27, Westerhold was spotted and promptly arrested near his home in Oviedo, according to the OCSO. He was booked into the Seminole County Jail, but has since reportedly been released.
Westerhold has been charged with exposure of sexual organs. Under Florida law, that’s a first-degree misdemeanor, which could net Westerhold a year in jail, a year on probation, and a fine up to $1,000.
He’s due to appear for a court hearing in February.
