KitKat With Potato 
We all know Japan is full of the weird and unusual like potato flavored KitKats for instance. McDonald’s was actually the one to first introduce fries covered in chocolate circa 2016. Some people really love salty and sweet and others would rather keep them separate but it’s a pretty beloved flavor as the Salted Dark Chocolate Slab won at the Great Taste Awards.
With Pizza
So it turns out chocolate and pizza go together but not in the sweet treat pizza way you may be thinking of. This is a pizza-flavored chocolate. It’s “designed to smell like a block of cheese” while letting you combine two of your favorite bites, in one bite. So this or you could eat your pizza and then have your chocolate, too. Just saying. Are these combinations weird?
With Pancakes
But honestly, what isn’t delicious on a warm and fluffy pancake. What about bacon flavored chocolate? The crispy, salty, meat is so yummy with the sugary maple syrup and then you add smooth, delicious chocolate as well? Count us all in, to at least try it, am I right? Let’s try both the bacon and maple flavored chocolate but also a pile of pancakes with crispy bacon, drizzled with sweet chocolate sauce and flavored with maple syrup.
With Vegemite
Vegemite is almost Marmite’s twin and you either like it or you think it’s disgusting. So what do you think it would be like with chocolate? It’d basically be a flavor combination of salt, malt, and vegemite. This bar, unlike the the one filled with yeast extract would be more subtle, and result in a mellow and slightly salted finish. That bar is no longer available but you could always dip your chocolate into marmite. Try it with high cocoa milk or 100% dark chocolate, as it will add a savory tang, allowing some of the deep and mellow tastes to also come through. This is one of weird combinations that people who like chocolate probably wouldn’t want to try..even though it’s chocolate.
With Ketchup
Chocolate and tomato sounds about as bad as ketchup and chocolate as the only thing the two really share is sugar. However, the Heinz Tomato Ketchup Truffle was created for a Valentine’s Day. Milk, dark and white chocolate create creaminess and richness with the cocoa and it’s all combined with tangy tomato and more so, ketchup. Would you try this combination? I guess we’ll see if there are more condiment and chocolate creations to come.
