Do you think New Years really sucks? If not, you should find these comments interesting.

  • I’m gonna be honest. I had to go check the date when I saw this post because I wasn’t aware it was the 31st. I think that’s telling enough, right?
  • With kids and a busy life, New Year’s is just another day for me. If you’re single, then New Year’s is an excuse to talk, mingle, drink, and party. And hoping to have that New Year’s kiss.
  • I don’t care much about it either. He’ll i don’t care about my birthday too. The only thought I had for a minute in the back of my head was to go into the new year with an orgasm. Like, I’d start the wank by 11:57, finish it by midnight welcoming the new year with a clear head. But gonna go against it coz it’s stupid (and weird.)
  • I mean it is just another day, what pisses me off however is when people try to put down those who enjoy NYE. It’s almost like they want you to feel bad. Hate that, it’s like others can’t enjoy life on their own terms.
  • I’m at work today, and I’m at work tomorrow. So no.
  • Single introvert living in an apartment with noise outside due to New Year’s Eve Event. Unfortunately, I suddenly heard my friendly next-door neighbors celebrating their OWN way (?) five minutes ago.
  • I care about it because even out in the suburbs someone will have to do fireworks and scare the pets and wake up the small kids in the middle of the night. Its great to celebrate things, but midnight and small kids don’t mix.
  • Meeting up with a large group of friends and watching a band and having a few drinks. I don’t care so much about the date but husband and I are very fond of our friends and looking forward to spending time with them.
  • I used to be so hyped for the new years until 2020. Now it just gives me anxiety.
  • I had no idea that was today but now I’m considering using it as an excuse to smoke some of the devil’s lettuce since I had taken a bit of a break.
  • It’s super overrated IMO. They charge you dumb money to get in to bars and clubs, then it’s dumb money for drinks, and even dumber money to get home
  • But the whole holiday period feels a bit ‘awkward’ when you’re single.
  • I’m overwhelmed to be putting up a new calendar in the morning.
  • Same here also. I feel the same also for my birthday… Not sure if it makes me sound depressing or not, but I really do not care if I am turning a year old or not – I have to wake up the next day, work and pay my bills – being a year older does not change the actual daily grind. Also, it’s just new year as per Gregorian calendar not all calendar that’s out there. I know Gregorian calendar is the most widely used in the world and the one I also use also, but just another thought to the concept of days.
  • For a long time New Years was a thing for me and I always preferred it to Christmas. I remember having this strong sense of always wanting next year to be better than the last but it was this big deal and making plans and setting goals etc. This thing of having to go and see fireworks, it was a tradition and seemed to be essential way to see the new year in with fireworks, gathering with loved ones and drinking. But now I feel very happy with just doing my own thing, being at home relaxing. I am more content in my life and don’t put so much store into the idea of new year, New Years resolutions etc because I am so much more settled. So for me that’s the reason it has changed and I’m very happy with that ??
