They also have a weird law that says no honking at sandwich shops at these oddly specific hours on a Sunday. So you can have your snack without a side of car honking.

It is illegal to be drunk, in a bar. The laws states that  a person who is already drunk may not “knowingly” enter a bar to drink more, or remain in the bar that got them drunk in the first place.

So, what does that mean exactly? Well, it’s outdated but true and the police enforce it.

Wyoming

Do you still dry your clothes on a clothesline? Because Vermont passed a law just to let it be known that there would never be a law against using a clothesline. Um, thanks for letting us know you don’t plan to make a law about something? Weird.

South Carolina

<a id=’w1H1HzkrRilzbE-ZWOgFRQ’ class=’gie-single’ href=’http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/818935262′ target=’_blank’ style=’color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;’>Embed from Getty Images</a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:’w1H1HzkrRilzbE-ZWOgFRQ’,sig:’ZfNTRFyE3XCrJ7MnuoYxgjUZrQwE0edzsqSIbAlUYKs=’,w:’507px’,h:’339px’,items:’818935262′,caption: true ,tld:’com’,is360: false })});</script><script src=’//embed-cdn.gettyimages.com/widgets.js’ charset=’utf-8′ async></script>

Did you know that back in the day, whole towns were shut down for God, church, and family on Sundays? In South Carolina, it still is. Well, not really. But technically it’s illegal to work on Sundays. That’s kind of awesome. But you cannot go dancing, on your day off, on Sunday, in South Carolina either. Because it’s illegal. But these laws are both in the process of being repealed.

Maryland

<a id=’6HaAqvasSpJwLni9Le3KSA’ class=’gie-single’ href=’http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/846083304′ target=’_blank’ style=’color:#a7a7a7;text-decoration:none;font-weight:normal !important;border:none;display:inline-block;’>Embed from Getty Images</a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:’6HaAqvasSpJwLni9Le3KSA’,sig:’N2m1QxZ3iRmvfW8Hamw_ehBp8x3u6RmEIbMXam0S0ik=’,w:’479px’,h:’359px’,items:’846083304′,caption: true ,tld:’com’,is360: false })});</script><script src=’//embed-cdn.gettyimages.com/widgets.js’ charset=’utf-8′ async></script>

Do you swear at people when you’re driving? It’s called road rage. Making hand gestures like flipping someone off, well that’s different. But if you swear at someone in Rockville, and get caught, you could be charged with a misdemeanor. And you will owe $100 to the city swear jar.

The Wisconsin weird law is the BEST weird law! Have you ever been to Wisconsin? You should go and eat cheese and butter, because it’s highly pleasing.
