Did you read The CDC Puts Out “Average Number of Sex Partners” Numbers: Part One? Because this is part two.
Findings were shared on Reddit and of course people had all different thoughts regarding the average number of sex partners. Many were left shocked, thinking the number would be much higher. While others commented saying they have brought the number down.
One person said: “I legitimately find either number hard to believe tbh. Is it like counting in dog years?”
A second added: “I am somewhat surprised the average is that low, but I have been reading about how much less sex people have now than they used to and what a wasteland dating in the 25-45 range is these days.”
And a third remarked: “I didn’t expect to come into this thread and see so many people calling the number low. My only sexual partner is my wife so I guess I’m the person bringing this down.”

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “I’ve cited this statistic multiple times as evidence to the fact that people aren’t having nearly as much casual sex as people think they are.” (And therefore, have less sex partners, too)
Other sources say that people in the United States on average have between 10 and 11 as their average number of sexual partners. But that this number can wildly vary from state to state.
While other factors are when a person loses their virginity. This of course with the rational that the sooner you initially have sex, the more potential average number of sex partners you could have.
The country with the most reported sex partners is Turkey with a reported number of 16 sex partners during their lives. Iceland, New Zealand and Australia come in at 13 or more sexual partners on average.
On the other side, India has an average of only three sexual partners during the course of his or her life. People in Hong Kong, Vietnam, and China tend to also have low numbers of sexual partners, as they reportedly have less than four sexual partners over the course of their lives.
What do you think? Does this seem right to you?
