- Fall means rain but don't let that get you down!
It’s pretty much Fall and that means rainy days, crockpot meals and Football is back. But just in case you’re not a fan, here are a bunch of things to do on rainy Fall days.
Take a Nap
If there’s a better time for napping than a rainy day, do fill me in. Overcast weather, rain and storms are literally the best time for a nap. Cuddle up with your favorite, soft outfit and grab a blanket. Now all you have to do is get comfy and close your eyes. Bonus points if there are streams of rain coming down. What could be better?
Read A Book
There are so many books out there and enjoying them on rainy days is one of the best activities. Whether you want to read up on someone famous you love, or dislike, or throw yourself into a story world that’s so good you feel like you’re a character in it, a good book is the best. This also goes for coffee table reads, your favorite magazine or even the newspaper, if you want to throw it back like that.
Watch Movies
Throw yourself a movie marathon or catch up on all your favorites you have recorded but haven’t made the time to watch. Rain and movies are one of the best combinations for a rainy day and make for one great day.
Create Something
Start an indoor project to create something, make something or even organize something. Whether you jump into the kitchen to try out a new recipe or dig into your closet to pull out all your summer clothes and swap them out for your winter clothes, rainy days are the perfect time for it.
Crockpot Meal
Speaking of jumping into the kitchen, cooking with a crockpot is quintessential Fall. The thing about a crockpot meal is you smell the delicious dish cooking all day and then you get to eat it at the end of the day. And beyond that, most crockpot meals need everything thrown into the crockpot and not much more. How cool is that?
Dance In The Rain
Seriously, though. Have you ever danced in the warm rain? Played around and splashed in cold puddles? Or even just looked up to the sky and let the rain fall down on your face? There are tons of things you can do outside while on rainy days and these are some great ideas. Better yet? Take all your plants out and let them drink up! Rain water is amazing for your houseplants. Trust me, they will love it.
Take A Wet Walk
Even if you don’t like the dance in the rain or play in the rain, you can walk in the rain! There’s something about breathing in the fresh scents and knowing that everything will be greener and more fresh the night or day after it rains. And it feels good to be a part of it.
Just Watch And Listen
Listening to the rain or a thunderstorm is such an amazing treat. If it’s going to rain anyhow, why not take pleasure in it? Especially if there’s a lightning storm, with rain and thunder, it’s pure entertainment right outside your window. And speaking of windows..
Open All The Windows
As long as your windows aren’t facing the direction of the rain, open them up! The fresh smell of rain and the fresh air streaming in will make your place feel amazing and you’ll be able to hear and see more of the storm. It’s the best of both worlds!
What do you love about rainy days? If there’s anything you think I missed, add it to the comments and give me more ideas!
