Peoples Unfiltered Opinions About The 4th of July

  • What do you think the people had to say about the 4th of July?

Do you have an unfiltered opinions about the 4th of July? It’s my favorite holiday but clearly not everyone shares my opinion.

“A good excuse to have a party, but I sure as hell ain’t celebrating because of  the country.”

“its fun, lots of food, light shows. good times”

“I think it’s fine for countries to celebrate, but if there are as many fireworks and such as they make out to be, perhaps it’s time to move onto some more animal and nature friendly.”

“a holiday”

“Overrated” What do you think of this as one of the unfiltered opinions about the 4th?

“Belgain here

I’m only here for the fire works loud noise, pretty light?”

America is awesome”

“Would love the rest of the month to be celebrated for the surprising amount of other countries around the world that also gained independence from Britain in July”

“It’s important to celebrate and teach the younger generations the value of democracy and freedom. However, the fireworks got to stop. It does nothing but cause air and noise pollution and also poses fire hazard and scares dogs. Maybe celebrate with simple parades and floats and wear red, white and blue. And yes, bbq get togethers are nice!”

“Personally I don’t care about it. All my family does is go watch the public firework show, which I don’t give a shit about. I’d rather just stay home.” Are you in agreeance with this as one of the unfiltered opinions about the 4th?

“Celebrating the country’s independence is fine, but some people really try to make the holiday into something stupid. The literal reason is because we became an independent nation. It wasn’t because God wanted us to be a Christian nation, it wasn’t when the mayflower came to America, it wasn’t because we needed a day to BBQ, etc. Just enjoy your damn cookout and quit trying to make it seem like it’s for any other fucking reason. Also, fireworks are cool and okay to have, but if you’re blowing them up until 2 am that night, your mom’s a hoe”

“I am all for continuing to celebrate our independence day. I think a lot of people are loosing sight of what that day means and what it has taken to make it happen. Not to mention what it takes to keep it happening.”

“I celebrate it every year. While our country has major flaws, I am still grateful for being born here. Something I like to keep in mind is all of the great progress we’ve made and that we’re not even 250 years old. That helps put things into perspective for me and gives me hope that we can keep improving” What does this mean to you as one of the unfiltered opinions about the 4th?

“Yeah I celebrate it by watching the patriot or the last of the Mohicans.”

“Btw Celebrating the independence of a country is not the same as celebrating every decision the country has done in the last 10 years.”

“Everyone celebrates in their own way. But I mainly celebrate the fact that we rocked the British empires shit with nothing more than a couple of hillbillies and the help from the French. ??????”

“I go to my aunts house every year and it’s very fun everytime”

“Absolutely. I am proud to be an American despite its major flaws. I feel you on it being way better and special as a kid, felt like a magical day/night growing up”

“1999 (sorry haven’t gotten the flair thingy yet) I have literally just been calling it “Hot Dog Fireworks Day”. But my fruit pizza isn’t going to be patriotic looking this year, I’ll tell ya that.” Does this sound like one of the unfiltered opinions about the 4th that you share from the 90s?

“It’s a day off work that I can spend with friends or family. I don’t really give a shit about the 4th itself or what it’s celebrating, doesn’t mean I’m not gonna take advantage of the holiday.”

“Of course I celebrate it. It’s the birthday of our country, and despite having its flaws, it’s still the greatest country in the world. If you guys can’t celebrate something unless it’s perfect, I have bad news for you. You’re never going to get to celebrate anything.”
