- One of the best things about the South Rim is its internet bandwidth. Senior employees mostly live in houses with broadband connections but for those that don’t have that, the best signals are found in and around the community center.
- The South Rim has a small city and a school, library and community center. These facilities are run year-round for the employees and their families.
- Ravens will take no time at all to get to any unattended food at your campsite or picnic area as they are known for ravaging belongings, in search of food.
- There are 335 recorded caves in the park, but only one is open to the public. If you want to visit a cave there, you’ll have to find The Cave of the Domes on Horseshoe Mesa. There are an estimated 1,000+ caves tucked into the Grand Canyon.
