  • Do you have piercings that have been on these lists?

Did you read All The Weird Piercings You Can Get: Part One? Because this is part two.

Tongue Piercing

You can get a tongue piercing anywhere you’d like on your tongue. They can be painful for some but most people say the pain level is only about a four or six out of ten. Your mouth has a wonderful power to essentially heal itself, making a tongue piercing one of the shortest healing times, at about four to eight weeks.

Cheek Piercing

Don’t have dimples but want some? A cheek piercing could be for you! This piercing goes right through your cheek, penetrates the facial tissue and the oral cavity. This piercing can cause nerve damage and leaking, which can smell. It will take eight to twelve weeks to heal but can be especially prone to complications. Unlike with other piercings, during healing you will need your piercer to change your jewelry out many times.

Nose Piercing

Most people say that with a nose piercing, there is little to no pain. There is no right or wrong place for your piercing, so pick your favorite part of your nose and you got it! While it’s healing, don’t play with it or touch it. After about three to six months, your nose piercing should be fully healed.

Helix

These are also called cartilage piercings and are typically placed on the upper side of your outer ear. People will commonly get a double or triple helix piercing, to add to the layer of this look. Helix piercings are known to hurt more than lobe piercings. It takes a helix piercing about three to six months to fully heal. During healing, it’s advised that you don’t change your piercing too soon and don’t sleep on your piercing, as it could cause an irritation or infection.

Eyebrow Piercing

An eyebrow piercing takes about two to three months to heal. Getting an eyebrow piercing is about as bad as a nose piercing but the pain isn’t as sharp.  You can have several piercings in each eyebrow and or really place them wherever you want along the brow, though most people like to place it towards the tail of their brow.

Rook

A rook piercing is located between the ridge on your inner and outer ear. Like other ear piercings, a rook piercing may not work for your ear shape. It’s relatively painful to get a rook piercing and they take about six to twelve months to fully heal.

Septum Piercing

Septum piercings aren’t known for being particularly painful and most people call it a “weird” or “unusual” piercing. Some even compared it to the feeling of having to sneeze. Beyond a mild tenderness at the tip of your nose, there are no other major uncomforts associated with the piercing. With this piercing you could have allergic reactions, infections, a septal hematoma, bloodborne diseases, scarring and even tearing. But if all is well, your septum piercing should be fully healed within six to eight months.

Industrial Piercing

An industrial piercing is two holes connected by a barbell. It’s typically the double piercing connected horizontally across the upper ear, usually with a hole in the helix and the forward helix. You can also place it vertically, including a helix, rook or conch piercing. Industrial piercings are pretty painful and the healing process is about six to twelve months in total.

There are even more weird piercings to share. Let me know what you think of all of these so far in the comments!
