What Is The Worst Month Of The Year, In Your Opinion?

  • If you think it's January, you aren't the only one.

In your opinion, what’s the worst month of the year? If you’re not sure, maybe you’ll agree with one of these opinions.

  • January is the worst month, so at least I have until then to make stews, watch horror movies, have holidays until the winter hibernation.
  • January. It goes from spring and summer to months of holidays and busily shopping and all that jazz to gray nothingness.
  • January- it’s cold and you’re coming down from the highs of Christmas and New Years. It’s the hangover of a month. Do you agree January is the worst month?
  • July/August.
Heat and humidity make my neck of the woods uninhabitable. Mere existing is miserable and forget trying to do the easiest activities end up in me sweating through my clothes.
  • February, not even close. freezing. gray. miserable. no holiday.
  • July for me because of Philippine Climate. Storms and Typhoons back-to-back. We had a school year 2 years ago before the pandemic have like 2 classes at the start of the school year and no classes for the next month because of flooding, heavy rain, and strong winds.
  • Fellow Filipino here, but for me its May – the heat is unbearable
  • August in my case, when I was a kid schools started on Late September – early October and ended by june – July after spent a month and a half at home I was dying of boredom plus it’s hot, days last longer and everything seems to goes slowest than usual I can’t stand July – Ago until these days (plus the evenings storms everyday)
December, epseically around Christmas or New Year’s Eve. You see all these happy people in the windows, spending time together; or the people having a New Years Party, and you realise that this can never be you, that you will never have friends in real life, and that you will never ever be a part of anything fun in your entire life, and that you existence is utterlly and completely pointless, useless, that you will never ever be happy in your entire life no matter what you do. It’s an every-month feeling but it’s a bit exaggerated in December.
  • November. So many Birthdays, in November, in my family.. Drives me insane.
  • Can’t believe nobody has said March yet. At least in the NE US, you’ve made it through the shitty winter, and spring is so close but NO here’s March to last forever with its one decently nice tease day and then weeks of torturous cold, clouds and wind.
  • January. My birthday is in January. It’s always cold as fuck because I live in Canada, my friends never want to go out due to sober Jan and/or being broke from Christmas, or because it’s -30 out. Do you think January is the worst month?
  • December due to Christmas music.
  • February, apparently Valentine’s Day is the holiday most people commit sui**de on.
  • August because I have to go back to university overseas and be alone and with a 6 hour difference to all my friends and family. Fuck going overseas tbh.
  • April is the cruelest month – mixing memory with desire and stirring dull roots with spring rain.
  • January…no paid holidays for me. The whole month just feels like a hangover. The only thing that gets me through it is the NFL playoffs. So many think January is the worst month.
  • August. No school, too hot and my sister will be back.
  • January, normally the coldest with a fair bit of snow, not a lot going on, work is busy just because it’s a new year but not because anything interesting is happening, and it’s just dark a lot more.
  • July…it’s starts off with a bang and it’s annoying and then at the end it reminds me that august is coming up and I have to go to school.
  • I hated September growing up in New Zealand. Usually grey, drizzly and cool. The winter proper was over, but decent weather and holidays still months away.
  • For me December 3 days before Christmas nearly 3 years ago my husband died. Great way to start ending of the year.
  • November. You get rain instead of snow but everything is still dead.
  • May. My dog and multiple friends dogs all died within a week of each other. Fuck may.

January seems to be the overwhelming majority when it comes to the worst month. Agree or disagree in the comments and share what you think!
