Classic Chicken Noodle Soup
Who doesn’t associate the Fall with sick season and sick season with chicken noodle soup? There is no better combination and chicken soup, whether blended up or eaten with large chunks of chicken and vegetables, it’s delicious and hearty and perfect meal for the colder months.
Beef and Noodles
Creating a soup full of beef and noodles is such a soothing and delicious thing to make in September. Brown some stew beef chunks and add onion and parsley along with a thickener and some beef broth. Let it simmer together and when the sauce has thickened, add in cooked egg noodles and serve.
Corn Chowder
Corn chowder with potatoes is delightful and warm as a filling Fall soup. Add some spice if you like or even a dash of sour cream or Greek yogurt, depending on how you like it.
French Onion Soup
Using beef broth, various types of onions, butter, sherry and thyme, making a homemade french onion soup is not only appetizing it’s beyond flavorful. You get tastes of each ingredient in every bite and adding toasted bread and Parmesan cheese to the top before throwing it under the broiler for a while will elevate this soup. Also using chopped onions over slices is easier to eat and still just as delicious. Have you ever used chopped onions in your french onion soup before?
Stuffed Pepper Soup
Stuffed peppers are delicious and you can basically make a soup out of them or make the dish into a soup, perfect for September. For easy stuffed pepper soup just sauté chopped bell peppers, onions, and garlic in a skillet. Then cook off ground beef and add tomato sauce, Italian spices like oregano and parsley and cooked rice. Add water to desired consistency, between more of a stew or thinner like a soup. This soup is a full meal in a bowl and delicious, too.
Lentil Soup
Chicken broth, lentils, carrots, a tablespoon of tomato paste and spices come together in lentil soup for such a tasty and light dish. Adding grated parmesan and black pepper when you serve and eat this dish gives it a very luxurious tasting soup.
Chicken Tortilla Soup
Chicken tortilla soup is one of the best, with fresh fried tortilla strips on top and some melted cheese. Shredded chicken, strips of bell peppers and onion all make this soup so tasteful, with a hint of spice.
Broccoli Cheese Soup
Broccoli and cheese soup is such a classic. Small mostly cooked broccoli pieces added to a delicious cheese based soup goes great as a side with a salad or could be used as a dip or topping for a sandwich or a potato. Will you enjoy this soup in September?
Roasted Red Pepper Soup
Roasting vegetables has got to be one of the best ways to consume them and this goes for red bell peppers as well. Roast garlic, onions, carrots, and red bell peppers in the oven with some salt and pepper and avocado oil. The add the roasted vegetables to a blender and blend them with chicken broth. This soup has such a yummy roasted flavor and the soup will be a delicious side to any dinner especially in the Fall.
