Life is Constant Agony for Woman Whose Breasts Won’t Stop Growing

  • Bigger is simply not always better.

Beauty standards come and go as societal trends and norms change. In this day and age, having a voluptuous chest is considered one of the more desirable traits in a woman.

If that’s not what floats your boat, you’re naturally welcome to disagree. But as far as averages go, people seem to think bigger is better.

We’re by no means saying that the common obsession with boobs doesn’t sometimes go too far. Besides, having massive breasts is not a particularly comfortable thing.

For proof, just ask Kayla Romero from Clute, Texas. She’ll tell you that her breasts are not only uncomfortable, she lives every day in “excruciating pain”.

According to Romero, her boobs started growing when she was 12 and they never stopped. At the moment, her bra size is a mindboggling 34O – and it look like she’ll soon need to size up.

In an interview with Mirror, Romero said that she just bought two new bras in November, setting her back more than $100. But those bras didn’t serve her for long.

“I have already had a look online for the next size up because my boobs are already starting to overspill out of my new bras, but I haven’t seen a size P anywhere,” Romero said.

“It is hard enough trying to find size O bras, which are also pricey, I have no idea how I am going to find size P’s. I don’t even want to think about how expensive they will be.”

A Living Nightmare

When describing her life with her ginormous chest, the 27-year-old Romero summarizes it in four simple words: “It is a nightmare.”

Her ordeal started at the tender age of 12. That is when her mother bought Romero her first training bra.

Within a week of getting it, the bra was already too small for her. In only three months, Romero went from being pretty much flat-chested to sporting Double-D’s.

Her sudden growth spurt made Romero a “laughingstock” among her peers. Kids can be a cruel lot, and Romero was forced to deal with the fact firsthand.

She had to endure constant bullying, from hurtful nicknames and comments to entire mocking songs, crafted specifically for her.

“One of my most vivid memories from around this time was during gym class at school,” Romero recalled.

“One of the school bullies started laughing at my boobs, saying that I had had a boob job and telling me not to run too fast or I’ll give myself a black eye.”

Creeps and Harassment

While she no longer has to deal with schoolyard bullying, Romero’s life hasn’t gotten any easier. Instead of fellow students, she now gets unwanted attention from complete strangers on the street.

According to her, Romero gets uncomfortable stares no matter where she goes. Some people with little in both decency and self-control sometimes even grab her chest, or worse.

“In the past, I have had strangers walking up to me and asking if my boobs are real, people have even grabbed them to see if they are fake,” she said.

“I have even had someone come up and motorboat me. It is horrendous and I don’t feel safe.”

As a result of the abusive attention, Romero said she rarely leaves the house. And if the option is getting constant harassment from creeps, who could blame her?

‘Difficult Tasks’

But it’s not like Romero’s life is much easier within four walls. According to her, she spends every waking moment with near-debilitating back pain.

Not only that, her chest keeps her from doing many normal everyday activities. Even getting showered is a chore.

“My boobs go right down to my belly button without a bra, so it is even hard to clean myself and take care of personal hygiene. Showering, drying off, and shaving are such difficult tasks for me. I’m sweating by the time I’ve dried myself off from the bath or shower,” said Romero.

Speaking of sweating, summer temperatures in Romero’s home state regularly reach triple-digit numbers. If boob sweat is a problem for women with more average-sized breasts, imagine what Romero has to put up with.

“I get heat rashes underneath my boobs which leave me with scars and my bras dig into my skin, and sometimes leave me with bleeding cuts.”

Maintaining her hygiene is not the only issue Romero faces. She said her house is a mess at the moment, as bending over to clean things is just too painful to bear.

A Constant Money Sink

Adding insult to injury, her chest is also a massive financial drain for Romero. As we already mentioned, she has to constantly buy new bras to accommodate her ever-expanding breasts.

“At the minute I’d say they’re growing every month. Over the years I have learnt not to look in shops for bras because they are nowhere near big enough for me,” she said.

“I will have to search long and hard for the next bra size up, as I have already had a look but with no success.”

Going back to the Texas heat, it might nice to go for a dip in the water to cool down. Not so much for Romero. Where on Earth is she going to find a fitting bathing suit, after all?

“I can’t find any one-piece swimming costumes that have enough support to hold my boobs up and most places don’t sell two-piece bikinis separately.

“If I find a bikini which has a really supportive bra, I usually have to buy two in different sizes. One that fits on the bottom and one a lot bigger to fit on my boobs. So it is double the expense,” said Romero.

Desperate for Funds

Sick and tired of putting up with her boobs, Romero said that she wants to get a breast reduction surgery.

“I am only 27 years old, I have my whole life ahead of me, I can’t even begin to imagine what my boobs are going to be like when I am 40 if I don’t get a reduction,” she said, dreading the future.

The problem with the surgery, though, is money. Romero is unable to work due to her condition – coupled with other medical issues – and although her husband is able to support them both, his income isn’t enough for the operation.

Desperate to come up with the cash, Romero has launched a GoFundMe account.

“I just want to be able to live my life like a normal girl in her twenties. I don’t want to be stuck inside and in constant pain,” she said.
