17. Ben Gerring, Surfer Killed by Great White
In 2016, 29-year-old Ben Gerring was surfing in Australia for the last time. He was mauled by a great white shark and died at the hospital of his injuries. The shark completely severed Gerrings leg above the knee while onlookers watched helplessly.
