14. Ian Redmond, Dies in Shark Attack on Honeymoon
In the Seychelles, experienced sportsman Ian Redmond was snorkeling while his new wife looked on from the beach. Just 10 days after their wedding, they were enjoying what they thought would be a safe, romantic honeymoon, when horrific tragedy struck. Redmond was attacked by a shark leaving his bride helpless on the beach listening to him scream and watching him get pulled under.
People helped get Redmond to shore, where his wife cradled him while he lost consciousness. He died from blood loss shortly thereafter at the hospital.
