13. Shark Mistakes Swimmer for Seal Attacking Henry Bouce, 1964
Henry Bouce and some friends were diving and playing with seals when he was attacked by a great white shark. They were in the ocean in Australia when a great white came up from under Bouce and cut off his leg. His friends saw the leg floating nearby and managed to get Bouce safely back to the boat. He survived the attack.
What’s more remarkable is that he also filmed part of it!
