Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in West Virginia once housed over 2,400 patients in grim over-crowded conditions. While the facility closed in 1994, it now offers both Heritage and Ghost tours and for the truly brave, 6 hours of overnight access hunting the ghosts still trapped within its walls.
