Why People Hate The Fall And Think It’s The Worst: Part Two

  • Most people love the fall though, enough that it's the favorite season.

When it comes to fall, some people think it’s the worst. Have you read part one because this is part two?

Fall is my favorite season it’s not too cold and there’s no snow to shovel. Plus I get to wear cozy hoodies and sweatpants. Where as summer and spring suck. It’s too warm and you can’t really dress all that differently to combat it. Shorts and a tank top only do so much when it’s 80° and humid. Along with spring and summer exacerbating my allergies. As far as the aesthetics of the seasons I’m pretty neutral towards all of them. I do like stepping on crunchy leaves so fall pulls ahead for that as well.

I like fall because I start looking forward to winter… so the exact opposite of you lol. The time of the year that really does this for me is late summer, like august – early September. Dead bugs everywhere, plants start dying, you’re sad that summer is ending, it’s depressing. Once you’re in fall, you can start focusing on fun fall stuff.

Fall is the best, We get out of the hellish heat of summer. The leaves look nice. I get to break out my hoodies and flannels. It’s not too cold yet. It’s got Halloween, Thanksgiving, and most of the Christmas season. Can’t beat it.

I agree with most of what you said, fall sucks because it feels like you’re pre gaming for winter. Also I hate the color when the leaves change, and everything starts dying off. The world gets so ugly in the fall. The holidays are lame. But where I disagree is that winter is still far worse. At least in fall I can spend substantial time outside without feeling miserable like in winter, and there’s no snow or ice. Spring and summer are better.

Surprises me that someone would like stereotypical american fall. it’s easy to hate fall in la, it’s hot until halloween and it’s at the end of the dry season so everything’s been dead and now there’s fires, deciduous trees don’t know what to do here so they shed whenever they want, it’s all a load of bleh.

This is a glass half empty/full thing to me. The way I see it fall is the final days of remaining warmth and life, temperatures are more tolerable before they get too cold, it’s your last chance to enjoy things before winter fucks it all.

What do you mean you’re actively moving through winter? You can’t do that w fall? Spring is actually the worst season. The weather is inconsistent and everything is wet. It’s not warm enough to swim or do most water things yet.

November being the worst fall month.

Fall was my favorite season. Still is, but we only get cool fall air for like 2 weeks before winter. Winter is mostly fall except for like 4 weeks where it’s winter again. It’s bullshit. I’m just barely old enough to remember how awesome fall used to be. Fuck.

Fall is def my favourite season. I’m in Canada so fall has some really nice and cold days where you can wear a jacket, but you still get some nice sunny days. Personally I like to go back to school (im a huge nerd and I don’t socialize during summer break so getting to see my friends is awesome) Also, pumpkin pie!!!! Actually, anything pumpkin!!!!!

I like mushroom picking during the fall.

I prefer summer. I hate the way society behaves during “the Holidays” and fall means it’s soon coming around again.

I used to absolutely love fall. Now I’m just waiting for the world to end.

I’m really excited about fall for the cooler temperatures and to decorate for the season. I also am rather fond of pumpkin spice flavored things too.

i am stressed about the state of the world, but i’m always excited for fall. trees are beautiful, not roasting hot anymore, all the seasonal foods and scents are amazing, lots of fun activities and holidays. it’s just the best season for me.

I absolutely celebrate the end of sweating while taking my trash out.

Na people always been hype for fall. Im an endless summer girlie myself but I do love Halloween. I feel im seeing less enthusiasm this year.

i like fall. The weather is nice enough to spend time outside, but not oppressively hot. It’s football season and baseball gets interesting. I can wear the sweaters that have been in the drawer all summer.

I think for a lot of people it’s a bit of both. For me personally, I’m genuinely excited for fall. It was reaching 115 f in my area & state this summer. I’m really heat tolerate & love summer, but by the gods am I ready for the cool weather & cozy stuff.
