Weird Things People Do That Shock Others

  • Can you name anything people do that shock others?

It would be more weird if there weren’t weird things people do. Do you agree?

“Fall asleep within minutes of going to bed. Like…. How?”

“Getting heavily indebted to have a wedding.”

“Putting the same hot sause on everything. EVERYTHING. Well, maybe not pie, cookies or cinnamon toast crunch in milk, but absolutely everything else. Doesn’t that make the food pretty much taste all incredibly similar?”

“Talking crap about strangers online. “It’s just the internet” doesn’t serve as an excuse to suddenly lose manners and etc”

“Walking round in public while having a loud phone conversation on speaker. So weird, why????” Would you agree this belongs on a list of weird things people do?

“Road rage. You’re in the comfort of your own car. Slow down, chuck on some music or a podcast, make yourself comfortable, have a snack, and chill the fuck out.”

“Saying you want to hang out and do something together sometime soon when you don’t have any plans to follow through. If you are going to fake sincerity, I would rather you just not talk to me at all.”

“Eating dessert after meals. I mean I love dessert but I guess I get full really easily; I could never eat something delicious and sweet after a meal. I think people should eat dessert on its own so they can enjoy it without already being full.”

“Some people actually enjoy watching baseball. There’s literally millions of these people. They somehow find it enjoyable and entertaining. I’ll never understand how someone can find it entertaining or interesting.” What do you think of this, is this weird things people do?

“Most things about romance. Like the expectation some seem to have that a 3 month long relationship means you need to distance yourself from friends of the gender youre attracted to that youve known for like, a decade? Personally, if you’ve dated less than a year you can’t possibly expect that type of marriage level priority.”

“Able-bodied people parking as close to the store as possible. I park further away where there are fewer cars and I can get more steps in.”

“Wearing matching socks. They’re just socks and most people won’t see them anyways.”

“Yeah. The way some people talk about coffee makes me cringe. I drink decaf and people go OTT telling me they could never, because they “need” their caffeine. And why drink it if you don’t want caffeine. Like, bro, I actually like coffee, I base my food and drink decisions on taste, which shouldn’t be that controversial.”

“The “new” normal thing I’ve noticed. Not using phones as intended. Watching idiots walk around with their phone pointed away from them whilst talking to someone on speaker phone. Are you lot special?” What do you think of this as weird things people do?

“Well… I’m a mid-30’s woman who thinks a good time is setting up a mini tent in the backyard on summer evenings and sitting out there with my dog and Netflix until it’s super late and I have to go to bed. My favorite colors are pink and purple. I have snakes and tarantulas as pets. My hobbies include tarot, video games, building furniture, scrapbooking, reading, researching, hiking, and raising baby black widow spiders. I have a closet that’s full of stuffed animals (from floor to chest height) that is SUPER fun to just yeet myself into… but I also have a room in my home which is entirely empty and void of all furniture except for some art on the walls… because I’m minimalist at heart and sometimes I want a calm space which has zero stimulation or distraction. None of these things are weird, per se… but when mashed all together in one person, it does become a bit weird. ?People call me “bubbly” and “energetic” and “way too nice.” My friends describe me as “eclectic” and I’m okay with that!”

“Hmm, lots of things. A lot of them boil down to.. I don’t feel pressure to do what other people are doing. I rarely wear makeup, I’m not exceptionally bothered by the fact that I’m fat, I don’t wear a bra, I don’t get involved in sports-watching, I don’t really do much alcohol consumption (in wisconsin lol.) Other stuff…I’m a very picky eater, and some of the things I won’t eat don’t really make sense.I used to have an unusually high interest in parasitesI sing and dance in public spaces like the grocery store, but at a concert, I stand stock still and feel awkward.I feel anxious to make phone calls.”
