What would you say about the best Halloween costume you’ve seen or worn? Do you think you’ll find a new idea on this list?
Heidi Klum’s worm costume. No contest.
My parents were Papa Smurf and Smurfette before I was born, my husband and I remade it a couple years ago- we won the costume contest, and come to find out my parents placed second when they wore it 30 years earlier!
My favorite was a guy wearing a disheveled suit, tie folded back (like there’s a wind), inside out umbrella, and walking like there was really strong wind blowing against him. He was in character and that was hilarious! Is this one of the best Halloween costume ideas you’ve heard of?
One year I saw a group costume that was a nightclub. Some members of the group had cardboard that made the walls of the club, someone had the lights/music and someone was the bouncer and he’d let people in to dance. Like three people could fit inside at a time. It was actually really cool!
I won my jobs costume contest last year dressed as Moira Rose in her Pope-esque wedding officiant outfit. Do you think this was the best Halloween costume?
Funniest one in recent memory: someone dressed as a CVS receipt. They had like 2 feet train of paper with all the coupons and rewards and everything printed on it.
This is an old one, but my favorite was the college guys dressed as a door. They went around trick or treating, knocked at each house and stood behind their door. When the homeowners answered the door they opened theirs and gushed “aww, look at you! You’re so cute!” and handed them candy. Do you think this is the best Halloween costume idea worthy?
One guy was a block of cheese – he came running by
us screaming “help this guy is crazy!!!” Then came his friend, chasing him as a cheese grater.
A group of women dressed as different eras of Britney spears. This was probably around 2012 or so but it was really well done. One had a snake around her shoulders, one had the red jumpsuit from her oops I did it again video, one was schoolgirl Britney, one was paparazzi bait Britney etc. It was pretty clever I thought but could not be recreated today with the same tone
I was a smoke detector for a party once, and last year I went as a spooky break room microwave and my husband went as burnt popcorn. I even had a light in my microwave costume. I think having a light component really makes a costume. How about this as the best Halloween costume?
I saw online some toddlers dressed up a little old ladies, with little gray wigs, glasses cardigans… I think one also had a walker. They were so cute! 🙂
I saw a guy dressed a someone taking a shower. He had a whole wraparound show curtain/shower head and suds in
his hair and a loofah. He was out on the dance floor dramatically ripping open the shower curtain while dancing. Hilarious.
I’ve dressed as hostess snacks many times. Once I was a cupcake. Wrapped foam around my body and made a top that fit am my shoulder. Spray painted foam brown, used shiny brown fabric on the top with rope for the swirl. Have also been a Twinkie and a Hostess pink snowball. One of my friends has gone as a tv dinner.
Last year my wife and I were Alexia and the fire truck from the movie “Titane.” I cut up, painted, and rigged a UHaul box with bike lights to make the fire truck and painted back patch onto a denim jacket for Alexia.
This lady went dressed as a house ( it was all done in cardboard) and she was holding a “for sale” sign. she eventually met a man, and the for sale sign flipped to read ” sold”. That was 15 years ago and its burned in my mind. a true hero among women.
