Shreveport, Louisiana — eight children killed (April 2026):
A domestic-related shooting left eight children dead and two women injured. The suspect subsequently fled, carjacked a vehicle, and was later killed by police in Bossier City.
Key Peninsula, Washington — five deaths in a stabbing (February 2026):
A 32-year-old man allegedly fatally stabbed four people inside a home before being shot and killed by a responding deputy. The incident became one of the year’s most serious mass-stabbing cases in the United States.
Austin, Texas — bar shooting (March 2026):
A gunman opened fire around West Sixth Street, killing three people and injuring 15 others before the perpetrator was also killed. Authorities investigated the circumstances and possible motive surrounding the attack.
Carrollton, Texas — Korean market-area shootings (May 2026):
