- Celebrities get a lot of weird stuff, both from their fans and other celebrities.
Christmas is the time of giving. And when you’re rich and famous, you have the means to give and receive extraordinary things.
Not all presents and gifts celebrities get are luxury products and sports cars, though. Sometimes, their gifts are mindbogglingly strange — perhaps as a joke or just because they have the money to buy something utterly outlandish.
Here are 12 bizarre presents famous people have given and/or received. Not all are strictly Christmas presents, but a gift is a gift.
1. Alessandro Nivola — Used Vacuum Cleaner

Actor Alessandro Nivola, famous for starring in American Hustle, Face/Off, and other films, might not be the neatest guy in his everyday life. We’re guessing that because his father once gave him a used vacuum cleaner as a Christmas present.
Nivola believed it was a less-than-gentle attempt to get him to be tidier. You have to wonder why his dad opted for a used vacuum, though.
2. Ariana Grande — Enormous Pumpkin

Ariana Grande is no stranger to receiving weird gifts from her fans. One man in particular, however, was dead set on sending her the most outlandish presents in 2016.
He sent her, among other things, an ankle bracelet, pet calendars and plain rocks. Nothing, however, is likely to top the 42.5-pound pumpkin he shipped to the pop star.
Where he got and why he sent it, nobody knows. His bizarre gifts did eventually earn him a restraining order.
3. Luke Bryan — Two Kangaroos

In 2017, country singer Luke Bryan gave his wife an unforgettable Christmas present. Who could ever forget about receiving two baby kangaroos in diapers as a gift?
His wife’s public announcement of the gift didn’t go down too well with the singer’s fans, though. Although the kangaroos were destined for Bryan’s Brett’s Barn charity farm project, people were understandably up in arms as you really shouldn’t keep kangaroos as pets.
4. The Jonas Brothers — Dead Baby Shark

Like Ariana Grande, the Jonas Brothers have received their fair share of questionable gifts. In a 2009 interview, the once-upon-a-time teenage heartthrobs detailed the time they received a dead baby shark in the mail.
“We’re still trying to figure out how they actually went about buying a dead shark. I mean, is there such website as Buyadeadshark.com?” Kevin Jonas puzzled at the time. We suppose the sender may have just fished it out of the sea, but that doesn’t really make it any better.
5. Tom Felton — Adoption Request

Tom Felton did a great job playing a complete jerk in his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. So much so that one guy sent him an adoption request.
In the paperwork Felton received, the man explained that he had legally changed his name to Lucius Malfoy (Draco’s father in the Harry Potter books and movies). He proposed that Felton allow the man to adopt him and change his name to Draco Malfoy.
Shockingly, Felton declined.
6. Gill Sims — Live Pigeon

Gill Sims is a British author, best-known for her novels about the struggles of motherhood. Back when she was in college, her then-boyfriend gave her a live pigeon as a Christmas present.
While out with the guy, Sims fawned over some pink pigeons she saw, and the guy told her that his family’s farm kept some. “You can bring me one,” Sims said, in what she thought was an obviously joking tone.
Yet, that Christmas, she received a box with airholes in it. Inside was a live pink pigeon. In the end, the couple released the pigeon (which was a homing pigeon and reportedly made it home safely).
7. Rihanna — $15,000 Blow-up Dolphin

In 2014, Rihanna made an Instagram post of a blow-up pool toy dolphin she got as a Christmas present. Haha, what a funny gag gift! Right?
Well, that’s one expensive dolphin. It’s actually a Jeff Koons artwork celebrating the legacy of Muhammad Ali, and it costs upward of $15,000.
Look, don’t ask us to explain the… Sculpute? Whatever it is.
8. Norman Reedus — Two-headed Squirrel and Breast Implants

In his role in The Walking Dead, actor Norman Reedus faced various grotesque deceased creatures. Yet, they were nothing compared to the gruesome taxidermy squirrel with an extra head sewn on that somebody sent him.
We suppose it’s a creative piece of folksy art. But come on.
That’s not the only weird gift Reedus has received, either. The man says he’s also received a delivery of two breast implants. Fortunately, they didn’t come with severed mammaries.
9. Zac Efron — Penis Pasta

In 2015, Zac Efron (of High School Musical and Ted Bundy fame) posted a picture on Instagram about the box of penis-shaped pasta he’d found in his stocking. The real kicker, however, was who gave him the present.
Instead of a joking friend, the pasta was from his mother. He seemed to have had a good laugh about it, though.
We’re sure it was a better gift that the piece of cut-off human skin a fan once sent him. We wish we were joking.
10. Emily Blunt — Her Own Presents

Emily Blunt had a slight problem with her grandmother. According to the actress, her grandma kept re-gifting her presents back to her.
For instance, she once gave the old lady a pashmina scarf, which was then promptly handed back to her. There never seemed to be any bad blood, though, as Blunt said the stunts would always make her laugh.
11. Drake — Stripper Pole

With his musical fame and business ventures, Drake can likely gift anything he wants to people in his life. As such, it’s probably not all that strange that, in 2012, he gave away a stripper pole as a Christmas present.
The weird part is the recipient. The pole was Drake’s Christmas present to himself.
What we really want to know is whether he used it or if he hired someone else to dance on it.
12. Jared Leto — Ear

Although his recent movies haven’t been the most successful (to put it lightly), Jared Leto is an accomplished actor. It’s not strange for him to have dedicated fans, but some of them might be too into him.
In 2013, someone sent him an ear. We’re talking about a real, severed human ear.
And the thing just gets cringier as Leto claims to have punched a hole in the ear and worn it as a necklace. That’s a little weird (to put it lightly).
