- But she can't withdraw even $20.00.
What would you do if there was a million dollars in your bank account? What about if it was almost a billion? Would you even believe it, would you take the money out and spend it right away?
It happened to this lady, and this is what she did about it.
Julia Yonkowski went to pull out money at her local Chase Bank in Largo on Saturday. Before grabbing cash, she wanted to check her balance.
When she did, she got quite the surprise. Her bank receipt said that she had $999,985,855.94 in her account.
Saying that she was beyond shocked in an obvious understatement.
“Oh my God, I was horrified. I know most people would think they won the lottery but I was horrified,” she said.
She had stopped to grab a simple $20 and had all that money.

“When I put in for the $20, the machine came back and said we’ll give you the $20 but that’ll cause an overdraft and you will be charged and I said, ‘Oh just forget it,’” she said.
Yonkowski said that she hasn’t touched her account since Saturday night.
“I know I’ve read stories about people that took the money or took out money, and then they had to repay it and I wouldn’t do that anyway because it’s not my money,” she said.
Because of this, she worries that her money, the money already in her account before this huge surge, could be compromised.
It kind of scares me because you know with cyber threats. You know I don’t know what to think,” she said.
“I just can’t get through. I get tied up with their automated system and I can’t get a person,” she said.
Yonkowski planned to go to the bank right away yesterday, (Monday morning,) to attempt and straighten it all out.
