Mary Celeste — Atlantic Ocean, 1872
The Mary Celeste was discovered sailing near the Azores with its cargo and much of its equipment still aboard—but all people aboard were missing. The ship was seaworthy enough to continue floating. No definitive explanation for the disappearance has ever been established.
USS Cyclops — Atlantic, 1918
The huge American collier disappeared with approximately 306 people aboard. No confirmed wreckage was found. SS Waratah — 1909
