- At one time the Waltz was prohibited because people hold each other “too close.” For the same reasoning, some European countries came up with rules like the maximum dance time was 10 minutes.
- In 1815, allies of European states celebrated victory against Napoleon in Austria by dancing a new dance and from then on, the Waltz was considered a decent dance and continued to become more popular.
- The Rumba dance comes from the Spanish word ‘rumba’ meaning to have a party. Are you all about dance and the Rumba?
- Rumba is considered a deep and emotional dance. Rumba is considered the dance of love when love and drama are intertwined.
- The biggest dance class took place in August 2008. It was a ballet class.

- Born in 1914, Eileen Kramer is over 100 years old and one of the eldest senior people, who still dances. Kramer was all about dance!
- A male ballerina lifts about 1½ tons of ballerinas during their performances and throughout their career. That’s not counting rehearsals.. You know? Practice!
- Crafting a ballerina tutu can take up to 100 yards or 300 feet of material!
- A single tutu can cost $2,000, partly because of all the material and decorations.
- Broadway dance got its name from Broadway, the main street in New York City.
