Dreadin' that next family road trip to Yosemite, in the station wagon pulling the old camper behind you… Well, you wouldn't be if your parents hit up Mehrzeller to design your ultra-cool custom camper. Why look like the Hendersons when you can be like the Jetsons? (Link | Via)

Now you can take a Corvette with you (kind of) when you vacation, even if you're not driving it! American Custom Trailers is producing a line of Corvette-inspired trailers.

The 19 cubic foot Corvette-inspired trailers are fully DOT compliant and feature carpeted holds, working tail lights, torsion suspensions, 12" wheels and tires, 1-7/8" swivel couplers, and 6 PIN electrical connection. Pricing starts at $3,495, with custom paint jobs and graphics packages available to help you personalize. Towing Corvette not required! (Link | Via)

A collaboration between MINI, Airstream trailers and Danish furniture designers Republic of Fritz Hansen has resulted in this hip, beach-ready design study made up of a modified MINI Cooper S Clubman and a customized 6.8m long Airstream trailer. Traditionalist may disagree but, parking issues aside, we think the concept definitely points to a stylish advance on throwing your surfboard and a sleeping bag into the back of a Combi Van. (Via)

The Sportsmens' Show is a haven for hunters and fishers and all kinds of motorized vehicles; and there are always a few finds, like this amazing Sylvan Sport GO trailer with pop-up camper; the smallest, lightest and coolest I have ever seen.

The remarkable thing about this is how it is really a trailer rather than a tent; you can carry bikes and sporting goods in it. But where is the tent? It is hidden in that lid. (Link | Via)

This is the Sealander, a camping trailer small enough to be towed behind a regular-sized car that, when backed into the water, turns into a lil boat. The tiny trailer can be pulled behind a car, the interior rearranges from kitchen to sleeping area, and best of all, you can put the pod out on the water if you feel like going boating for a bit. In an age of monster SUV's and rock-star RV's hogging the roads, it's nice to see a modern twist on the 1940′s Teardrop Trailer. These trailers hearken back to a simpler time, but are tricked out now with all the modern amenities one needs: stainless sink, maple interior, glistening aluminum, Sunbrella awnings, LED lighting and ventilation systems. Hit the road this summer in one of these hip, easy to handle, lightweight homes on wheels. (Link | Via)
