A Canadian chef tried to set a new world record by grilling up what he hopes is the world's largest hamburger. Barbecue master Ted Reader created the 590-pound behemoth burger in downtown Toronto, using enough meat to make 2,360 quarter pounders, 100 lbs. of bread, 20 lbs. of lettuce, and 150 lbs. of condiments. This yummy creation, by Blogger Ms. Humble, is a twist of her Italian meringue shells, sprinkled with a few sesame seeds; Marzipan cheese, which was rolled and cut from a mixture of almond paste, powdered sugar, and egg-yellow food gel; a beef patty made from dark chocolate ganache; and coconut lettuce whipped up from a little sweetened flaked coconut and electric-green food coloring gel. The result: totally silly.

This looks like a real hamburger, and although it was weird to eat, especially with the sesame seeds on top, it was delicious - a sponge cake filled with chocolate mousse (meat patty), fresh kiwis (lettuce) and strawberries (tomato), fresh cream (mayo), and the "cheese" was mango mousse. (Link)
