Zach Gowen

(Reader Contribution to 10 Most Inspirational Athletes With Prosthetic Limbs)

Zach Gowen was a kid in Michigan who had to have his right leg amputated due to cancer at the age of eight. This didn't keep him from becoming a professional wrestler, successful enough to have competed in WWE, TNA and ROH, the three biggest and most prestigious professional wrestling companies in the United States. Although wrestling is staged and people who stand out in any way are welcome there to attract attention as the entertainment part of wrestling, Zach Gowen has proven to be a really good athlete and not just a "freakshow" gimmick to pique the interest of viewers not as interesting in the actual athletic display. Zach's finishing move is a one-legged moonsault.
