Spider Fight

Spider fighting is a popular past time for the kids (and adults too) in the Philippines. Two competing spiders would be pitted in a grueling death match on a stick which usually lasts for only a few seconds. The fight is decided when the winning spider completely wraps it's opposition with it's webbings. It often involves betting among children and adults. Children would also catch and raise their own spiders and are often kept inside a matchbox. Considered as serious business by some, they would even spend lots of time and money just to get the best spider out there.
