Hi, The log bed is from a style of fine furniture making called Lodge Style furnishings. Complex pieces use highly polished, twisty wood pieces carefully fitted together. More simple designs use peeled aspen or pine logs. This style of decor is used in mountain lodges and log homes in the US.
