Astronauts will fall over in the dark
(Reader Contribution to 10 Facts you Didn't Know about Living in Outer Space)
If an astronaut who has recently landed back on earth is left in a room with no lights on they will fall over.
To stop motion sickness in space the body ignores signals from the inner ear and relies more on visual input. With no visual input the body cannot feel it is falling and the astronaut will walk into the ground; very painful, very funny!
