The Giant Wombat
(Reader Contribution to 10 Most Amazing Extinct Animals)
The largest marsupial that ever lived. Inhabited Australia and was hunted to extintion by the Aborigines. About 3 metres long and 2 metres tall, more than 3 tons in weight & was supposedly the source of the Aborigine Bunyip legend. Now thats one big wombat!
