The FDA guidelines for risks, included in the packaging (called a circular) for ANY anti-inflammatory includes a chance of heart attack and stroke. This isn't just Celebrex, it is all meds of the COX-2 family and traditional NSAIDS. In fact, Celebrex has about 8% of the gastric complication risk of a traditional NSAID such as Naprosyn, and singling out Celebrex for this 'black box' warning is very misleading.
