Probably one of the two most die-hard US President (it's a tie between him and Teddy Roosevelt), Jackson once survived 3 shots at point-blank range from a would-be assassin, and, without missing a beat, ran after his attacker, and started beating him with his cane. This was only one of a great many events in Jackson's completely nuts life.
