Crazy Horse Mountain

The Crazy Horse Monument project has been in-progress for over 60 years. Once completed, it will be 641 feet (195 m) wide and 563 feet (172 m) high. To put it in perspective, Mount Rushmore is about the size of Crazy Horse's head. Why has it taken so long? The founders of the project felt that taking any money from the U.S. Government would go against everything the monument stood for. So the project depends on public donations. I just hope they finish it in my lifetime.
