Thomas Bimis and Nikos Syranidis - Men's 3m Synchro Diving

In Athens 2004, Bimis and Syranidis should have been honoured just to be at the games; Greece didn't qualify for men's 3m synchronized diving - they were allowed to compete only because the hosting nation is automatically qualified in each event. But when the favourite Chinese team failed their last dive, followed by the second favourite American team performing poorly, the door was open for this underdog team to take the gold.
