Regarding tips for servers in bars/restaurants
(Reader Contribution to 12 Absolutely Hilarious Receipt Tips)Servers should always be tipped as generously as possible because they are psid sub-minimum wages (not even minimum, and yes this is legal) and it is hard work. I have been a barmaid and a server in a restaurant. We have to declare our tips, the IRS has decided the amount (whether we have received any or not) we share them with the bus staff, (gladly) as they do their share of the work. Think twice beore you deprive somone who may be working harder then you of their livelihood.
